Community Jobs Scotland (CJS) creates work opportunities for young people within third sector organisations in Scotland- Employer applications will be accepted from Monday 15 June 2015.

There are two developments this year

  1. Employer processes are moving to an online system to make things quicker and easier for you
  2. CJS will be able to offer some flexibility in funding available to employers. This will take two forms

Living wage: If you are a living wage employer, and are committed to paying your CJS employees at least the living wage, you can access additional funding to support this

Extensions for vulnerable groups: Employers who have taken on a vulnerable young person will be able to apply for a limited number of 3 or 6 month contract extensions if, towards the end of their contract, there us clear evidence that the individual would benefit from a longer period in the job. These extensions will be awarded on a case by case basis.

Think about what opportunities you may be able to offer within your organisation between now and March 2016.
